I wish I could see your face light up
When my name appears on your screen.
It's the little note that appears
To tell you that I've been
Thinking about you and waiting for your
Call, even at 2 in the morning.
It is you I wish to hear from
When my eyes, the light is adorning.
And even when my days are busy,
I get lost in thought of you;
Yet we only speak when you wake
And when my work is through.
And as I sleep, I hope you share
A thought for me sometimes.
It is me who will be by your side,
At the best and the worst of times.
