"Art will remain the most astonishing activity of mankind born out of struggle between wisdom and madness, between dream and reality in our mind." - Magdalena Abakanowicz

Heart pounding
Skin tearing,
Watch all those intermingling reds
As they fade into black and white lives,

Imaginations occurring
Realities disappearing,
Take all the beatings like everything is alright
Despite all the bruising fist fights,

Tossing
And turning within inescapable piles of thorns,
Flailing into tormented nights,
Drowning continuously
Unable to reach the air above dull glass shards in carbon filled lungs,

Running
Stumbling for something that makes sense,
Needing to salvage the piece of your dissolving mind
That reminds you how to love without guarding your heart out of fear,

Searching
Pleading for a means of escape,
Longing for that place soaked in tinged sunlight's
And brightened starry nights,

Forcing
Convincing the soul,
You don't have to be alone
Love could be possible,

Falling
Fading into heartbreaking lies
And abandoned promises,
As your heart dies again tonight.
