I close my eyes
To rest
In my head, Turn off the restlessness
Its time to sleep, restore
I can't stand the waking world anymore
Enchanting trees, of green and silver gleaming
Golden clouds, and seas that foam
Dusty blue, the sky in which I'm standing
I lay on dew drenched grass, and watch my thoughts go by
Flowers made of ink and paper haunt me
Possessing me, to write my heart and soul
The wind sings silently and sweetly
Caresses my ears, to haunt me with its empty tones
Books fly like birds, their words drop to the earth
Like seeds, to be made into trees of dreams
An ever standing monument to my imagination
For in my worlds, the trees last forever
Music is a living thing
It arises with every breath I take
I can only escape for so long
Don't wake me to this disturbing scene
Don't play this ballad called Reality
