I think about it often
Perhaps a bit too much
I think I miss your presence
I think I miss your touch

I wish that things were different
And then I think again
I know it's not enough
I know we always end

I know that things are twisted
I know we once were friends

I regret the way things happened
I hate the way you left
Sometimes I pretend things never changed
Sometimes your here again

So much was never said
So much was never done

Silences have burned us
And taken things away
Tears have chipped away the things that used to be

I wish I could let go
I wish that it was true
I cannot forget
And I can't forgive
What is it about you?

Remembering is painful
Imagining it a different way hurts too much

So many could haves haunt me
Should haves watch me
What ifs are always in the back of my head

I wonder if you even care
I wonder if you think of me
I know I can't forget you
Although I try so hard

Forever your with me, forever apart- tearing away a piece of my heart
