Dusty Necklace
As I look in my mirror I can't help but see
My neck is now bare
It didn't always used to be
A chain would hang, without a care
Yet it was filled with a beautiful story
A necklace of love in all its glory
Now that I try to forget, it will always remember
As hangs with regret, in an old jewelry case set
It gathers dust, as memories fade
When I go to wear another, I see it
A million memories flash, beautiful ones we made
Once and awhile I`ll put it back on
Just to reminisce, I start to hum our song
I take it off, the necklace puts sadness in my chest
I hang it, so once again the once love may rest

Everyone has recieved something they value from someone they love or has something that reminds them of a certain person. It could be a teddy bear, an old note, a necklace, ring, or faded T-shirt. They may have moved, passed away, or just don`t talk anymore. I hope everyone know they aren`t the only one who still has something they hold onto to remind them of someone they once loved.
