Fretting and spinning
I move 'cross the floor
Out the door
And into a sea of pain
I am drowning again
Swimming and tumbling
About the waves
'Til I force myself up
And out into a world
Of practiced lies
And graceful spies
Where nothing is real
Nor nothing pretend
It's all just a stage
Where all steps are chosen
All hearts cast aside
To create this paradox
That we insist on calling
Life
