Twitch, leap, streak,
Tail high, head low, ready to pounce,
Swish, waggle, back and forth the haunches go,
Claws extend, breath slowed, eyes alert,
Muscles tense, flex and release, the chase begins,
Prey streaks,
Leap,
Prey twitch unwilling to die,
Tail low, head high, ready to gloat,
Sway, glide, in a circle the hips move,
Claws imbedded, purrs of pleasure, stomach full.

The author's comments:
I really love cats and their natural instincts and such, ans so when I wrote this I was getting into the mind of a playing kitten who is not actually killing anything, but in her mind she is. I find it funny how cats can play Imagine so well with themselves and be so entertained. If only I was so lucky...
