" You are your only limit "

The sun had risen

the morning, enlivened

with rays of hope.

and happiness afloat.

Light crept into my room

where flowers of gloom bloom

where life was almost doomed.

But it never fail

to prevail

the dictator

that haunted me

for centuries

of darkness.

Light, set the room ablaze

coerced the dark force to faze

it's energy, it's life

unchaining my wings

breaking the pane

that separated me

from the wonderful world

teaching me the powerful words

Yes, I can

I can rebel.

I can disagree.

I have the right to.

No one can stop me.

Even though I am weak

Even though I am young

Even though they say 'No',

I am doing it

like light defeated darkness

like the morning's revolution.

The author's comments:

My school starts at 7 am so I have to get up at 6 am. Whenever I get up, I would spy the peeking sun right out of my window. It is a perfect example of beautiful simplicity but beauty of dawn isn't the first thing I notice. All those energy and passion of the rising sun hit my heart first. It then mix up with my frustration over the appalling education system of my country, pathetic teachers , the celebrated rote learning and other stuff, which left me so angry that I want to rebel. I just don't want my school years pass away quite pointlessly.
