a smattering of someday
January 22, 2009
mirrored towers stretch steel fingers,
tickle clouds that wander by,
as the shouts of out and follow
ripple through a midnight sky.
intertwining neon colors
clash deliciously ahead
as a whirr of taxi yellow
spirals round flashing big apple red.
and these two feet that ache here happy
striped with twinkling concrete
are a smattering of someday,
a savory sample of the treat.
