My Promise

You gave me your love
And I stomped all over it
You gave me the right to choose
And I choose to walk the wrong path
You gave me life
And I dare to take it away
You gave me a voice
And I choose to insult and hurt
You gave me strength
And I choose to use it for violence
You gave your only son
And yet I choose to give you nothing
Why do you give
And give knowing you may never recieve
Im glad your such a loving and unselfish father

This piece is very special, I grew up in foster care and never really had a family. So when I was introduced to god it changed everything. I finally had someone to turn too for help and someone to love me for who I am.
