Live as a Sunset
The sky so violet sinking away
Ending yet another glorious day
Pinks to rival a blushing lovers cheeks
And yellows that compete with the suns shine at its peak
I know not of a prettier sight
Than this very one I am witnessing tonight
An internal picture I will try to take
To never forget this place, for my sake
As the night draws closer and the colors diminish
I wonder how this sunset will finish
Who will remain after the bitter fight?
Will the winner always be night?
I take a lesson from something so great
I must take advantage of life before it is too late
Short as they may be
Sunsets and life are glorious indeed
