Writer's Block
The words are stuck in my brain
And they won’t come out
Kind of how rain’s stuck in the clouds
During a drought
Stuck in confusion
Don’t know where to begin
Feels like I’m standing on a tightrope
And it’s starting to wear thin
I can’t write it down
I don’t know what to say
I am starting to drown
I am fading away
It’s on the tip of my tongue
But won’t come out of my mouth
The birds borrowed my brain
As they flew down south
This has never been harder
Than it is right now
These words are coming out slower
Than anyone would allow
I can’t write it down
I don’t know what to say
I am starting to drown
I am fading away
I’m finding it difficult to write how I’m feeling
This whole thing has got my head reeling
But finally I spit a few words out of my head
I suppose it’s better than nothing instead
