Memories glisten in the light of hope
Always fleeting, but always true
Pure color fades to black and white
The endless roll of life twists and turns
Freeing the dreams and hopes of truth
Manifested in a glossy veneer
Of a young child's joy and laughter
Simply revealing the unexpected
The sweet nature of memories simmers forth as dawn emerges from the darkness
Flowers wither from the test of time, but the clock of life keeps ticking
The innocence of a young child
Running with the wind tenderly rocking the cradle of their soul
Growing stronger and stronger
Falling from pure vivid joy to the comfort of nature's dwelling
Now the roll continues
Never ending, but always fleeting
Remembrances of old ages past develop through the essence of simplicity
Embracing nature's tide while the clock of life keeps ticking
The endless roll of life twists and turns
Pure colors fade to black and white
The roll of endless hopes and dreams
Never ending, but always fleeting

I just started taking a Photography darkroom class and this poem speaks to the power of capturing memories.
