Dirty Knees

We wander the streets
following every whisper and all the screams.
All the girls stare, but not one of us eats.
I shiver and swipe clean my dirty knees.

The monsters soon follow
to mock our throats that don't swallow.
All the girls dream, but not one of us sleeps.
I shiver and swipe clean my dirty knees.

Our confessions, our failures,
one in the same, drifting like sailors.
All the girls dying, but not one of us speaks.
I shiver and swipe clean my dirty knees.

Screaming through our tears
we know nothing could subdue our fears.
All the girls dead, but not one of us cease.
I shiver and swipe clean my dirty knees.
