Selfish People
Does anyone have a needle and a thread to spare?
I’d like to sew more clouds in the sky.
Maybe they’ll get too heavy and God will cry with me.
I’ve been through hell and back and it doesn’t get any easier.
It doesn’t slow down, it doesn’t ease up.
 But we’re not alone either.
It’s times like these that I wish I could play the piano well.
I’d put my feelings into music and you all could sway along to the catchy tune.
I think everyone should own an etch-a-sketch.
We should sketch what means the most to us,
Then shake it so hard so it fades away.
That’s what happens anyways...whether they come back or not.
It’s amazing how we claim to love someone with all of our heart...their pain is ours.
And we say we’d do anything to have them back...we’d rather them be in pain if that meant them staying with us.
 We’re terrible people, huh.

 I guess we’re all selfish.
