The dark doesn’t judge you
Or show you what you lack.
It hides all your secrets
And only shows what’s fact.

It lurks in every corner
And waits for you to see
Into its dark depths
And meet your enemy.

A comfort and a shield
To the prowlers of the night,
A dark sheet to disguise
What we see in light.

A black shadow on the moon
A pigment on the sun
The backdrop of the stars
A mystery undone.

Chapter after chapter,
Have been heard but never written.
Whoever enters never leaves
Because their soul was stricken.

this is something i wrote for no real reason....i was inspired by a book i had read and though i admit that this isn't the best poem i have ever written, i think it is okay. I love the night, the dark. Opposed to the light, it just doesn't judge you.

So true...it reminds me a little of the book "A Ring of Endless Light".

I would love your input on some of my works!

I thought it was good. The night always hides everything. That is when I think to myself, where no one can here me, and where I can't be mocked by His voice, or His face. I loved it...GREAT job.
