Rose-Colored Glasses
Rose-Colored Glasses
I have lost my mind
I’ve left it behind
I don’t know what I got myself into
Just to start calling you “boo”
But I don’t need rose-colored glasses to be happy with what I see
I was oblivious
It was all new to me
“Too good to be true,” I thought.
Nervously nervelessly, I thought,
“I don’t need rose-colored glasses to be happy with what I see”
Don’t take a step back, take 3 steps closer
Take a deep breath
I want you
Closer
To me
“Become familiar with me,”
“Don’t be scared,” he said
I whispered back,
“I don’t need rose-colored glasses to be happy with what I see”
