Moving In the Right

Love and I don’t seem to mix

Girls with Uggs and crimped manes

Guys fall easy for such things

Love and I don’t seem to mix

A workman like nature don’t fit the bill

He gets a call and isn’t thrilled

But what if I were her, young and graduated

A fresh faced prospect more educated

Love and I don’t seem to mix

Being 18 not nearly 26

Brown eyed gal without sexy tricks

Will we ever see a right time?

When I am his, and he is mine

Love and I don’t seem to mix

Daunting to think we think so

Even smart girls hope for-

And love the way it is now

So niggy naggy and frow frow

So wishy washy and untame

Smart girls put themselves at blame

Love and I don’t seem to mix

But maybe love is sought in wrong places

Feelings unreciprocated and ambiguous phases

love is not learned I figure

Figure it’s a passionate endeavor

Where one and one must be together

A call just cause

Love and I don’t seem to mix

But maybe Love’s unworthy of my buzz
