Manic Trickery
Only an inch from paradise
And she had almost owned the earth
A broken step towards perfection
Just to measure what she was worth
With a minute left of happiness
Up so high, but she's bound to slip
A manic maze of mind is all
And she is loosing her last grip
Perhaps she could have tricked the world
If with truth she did not comply
She would have fooled the universe
If she had chosen just to lie
Began a harmless high of sorts
With just a step acrossed the line
It seems now the spin is slowing
Yet, was she ever truly 'fine'?
