Beauty Pageant Contestants
Stand up taller, with your back against it all
Turning around could shatter the mirror you hold in your hands
The only reason it is in your arms is to see my tears reflected in the glass
The rim is gold and you know you are not worth any of it all
But I am the one who is stuck crying too- because of you
Now put the sparkling shards down
You wouldn’t want to cut your porcelain dolly skin
A little girl might cry
And then we would know who is who.
