Flipped Mirror
The mirror whispers words of welcome,
 today is your day!

But when the bus rolls up,
 the morning turns gray.

 "You're fat."
 You're ugly."

 Your day has been ruined,
as you cry on the stairs.

 On your way home,
 you think of their words.

 You wonder why they
 hurt the worst.

The mirror comes back to mock you,
 the sayings no longer true.

 "You're fat."
 You're ugly."

 Now you believe it too.
