A Dream Deffered
Modeled after the poem by Langston Hughes
Oxford Pennsylvania
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it snow
Like the world is ending?
Or burn like the sun is falling-
And then rise dissapper the next second?
Does it stink like roasting manure?
Or wind
Like the body of a snake?
Maybe it’s just quite
Like the dead of night
Or does it come alive?
