Dissolution

December 5, 2008
By Danyelle Dover, Jackson, MS

As I crash through the glass,
I realize the ice has just melted.
As I land, I find myself drowning in the deep of broken dreams.
My aspirations are scattered around me,
The icebergs in this sea of pending doom.
The darkness envelopes--
As light is obliterated from the hopeful sky.
No longer am I a part of this so-called miracle.
