Perception
The sun only shines as bright as your eyes let it
You can’t see anything with them closed
The rains only as sad as you make it
Some prefer the cold
The wind only blows away those who can’t hold their ground
And you’re smart enough to know you can
Thunder can’t strike those that don’t conduct it
Don’t let it ever touch you again
Though tsunamis are inedible
It doesn't mean they can’t be beat
Though earthquakes destroy homes
It doesn't mean you can’t get back on your feet
Today you can write the forecast
And choose what you reap
For Ella my darling
Even the best can be beat
