Cause hesitation to begin a new start
Ease stress, along with pain
Sooner or later, drive you insane
Do it happy, worried, or sad
Do it to calm while feeling quite mad
An addiction proven to be very strong
Impairs insight of what's right and wrong
Gives a high and places on you a crown
Remember what goes up, must always come down

Some truly believe it to be their very best friend
Traps others in nightmares they wish they could end
It's odd a world consisting of laughter and hugs
