Favorite Quote:
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophet.
-Amos 3:7

Is it just you or is it me?
The blame shifts from left to right.
Uncertainty floods the valley of doubt.
Now peaks of peace are beyond sight.

Dying to say that I want to live,
I stretch out my hand
"Give, give give!"
It's all about me, I wish you had known.

I watch the tape again and again.
Reviewing the past,
I note that every time
there's a change in cast.

It's like deja vu
all over again.
We're on a loop
and loops have no end.

My throat restricts me
but I want to scream.
How can one suffer for as long as I?
This nightmare disturbed the dream.

If she would be lonely then we'd be okay.
No more fists and no more throats.
Peace would result
if you'd learn to pick up your coat
and go.

You have now idea how tempting it was to call this poem "Little Peaces" for the sake of a pun but, honestly, I like people to at least think that I know how to spell.
Hope you enjoyed this little piece of myself.
