Every soul is blended with a multitude of things
Not a single one stands bare in the face of the world
Through the years in our life we are gifted with baggage
We either cower or face trials with our choices unfurled

Our souls are decorated with colors from the feelings we've felt
From sadness and anger to jealous love fueled in red
Courage blares silver and shines in either the moon or sun
We're woven together with never-ending colorful thread

The beating organ inside of us is covered in scars
From the people we've lost that we thought we had forever
Always pressing forward with fiercely shown pride
From the trials placed before us, we grow with our endeavors

Memories are laced within the fragments of who we are
Bits of the sights we've seen and pieces of the places we want to go
Dreams we're granted, worries we've had, hopes we've held and lost
Every minute of our lives is another part of our past setting us aglow

People we see on the street, strangers encased in secrets
Ingratiating themselves into our lives in subtle ways
We never know what somebody else is going through
One simple smile could change into a good from a bad day

The colors and patters forming our future pathways
Guiding us to the decisions and choices we will soon make
Who we are is strong, what we do is important
We always push our hardest and we will either be made or break

Being human is the greatest trial, but blessing as well
We push for our destiny, to shine brighter than any sun known
