In the shade is where I belong
Away from some, away from all.
Until one day, I stepped in the light
And realized
It was the way I was living that wasn’t right.
But when corrected my problems that is,
He made me grow, he made me glow,
His name is Jesus, and now you know
He changed my life forever
He is with me through the good and the bad weather.
No more sitting in corners, or hiding behind others,
like our fellow Christian sisters and brothers, For all gods children take care of one another.
I have a voice to talk and to sing
No more being in the dark,
Not since the day Jesus made a spark,
A bright one of light, and now my life has purpose,
for I changed my ways, and put in the past all the bad days,
I am one who can say I made it to this day, I have no one to thank but him above,
for he is one who cares, and one who loves.
I found our father and he is my lord and savior Jesus Christ.
