The Unbelievable Prey

They swing around the trees and vines,
the bright yellow bananas in their hands.
Chuckles you hear as the vines swing timidly.
This soft snikering has stopped.
in awe of the stillness, a sharp arrow pierces the ground like a giant volcano erupting unexpectedly.
Growling from the bushes threatens all.
An aroma of fear fills the air.
Screeches and screams grow louder in the leaves.
Safe in the high trees,
the jaguar has lost its lunch for the day.
