What if time just stopped
In the blink of an eye
The hands weren’t moving
And we didn’t know why.

The world goes silent
As we’re frozen in place
Traveling nowhere
Trapped somewhere in space.

We can’t even move
For time keeps us near
Burdened by heartache
Rejection and fear.

If time doesn’t turn
They what does it mean?
Are we forwards or backwards
Or just in between?

We don’t have a clue
About anything
We’re lost and confused
A bird with no wing.

We wait for the call
To begin again
We still don’t know now
What we didn’t then.
