A Cowboy's Thunderstorm
Hear that distant thunder sound?
It is the sound that in a cowboy's heart resounds.
Each time he hears it, his heart beats deep in his chest, and wakes him from his sleepless rest.
The ground beneath him trembles and shakes with each pass it makes.
Anxious and restless his tethered horse prances, as they thunder by fearing no fences.
Only a few remain for us from the untamed past, an ancestry he wants to last.
Ancient and great are these forces, this cowboy's thunderstorm.
Pure and free are these horses, these horses that are a cowboy's thunderstorm.
