You speak these words so softly
And yet they shatter the sky
You sing it with such grace-
This Fatal Lullaby

Your voice is soft and sweet
As summer morning's dew
It dances on light feet
As it makes despair bloom

Your words are as murderers
With weapons feather-light
Chasing me in fury
And dripping with delight

Your whispers kill me sweetly
Your eyes blaze with soft unrest
Your hand on mine destructive bliss-
You leave me beautifully distress'd

You speak these words so simply
Do they need a reason why?
As you dance with fright'ning grace
To this Fatal Lullaby

This piece can be about many different things. I think that it's about a girl with an abusive boyfriend. She loves him, even though he hurts her, even as she is dying inside. She can't leave him because there is a sense of security about being with him. He is her fatal lullaby.
