Reflection

Time has slipped by

In a river of tears
Since the day that changed me forever.

Yet the meaningless days,
Weeks, months, and years
Still have not, cannot heal my wounds.

I remember your eyes…
Same as mine, but empty,
Blankly reflecting the cold stars above.
And I remember your smile,
Like the ones we once shared,
The last laugh you had in this fleeting life.

Every single day
I see your face in the mirror,
I mourn for the lost half of my soul.
We were once a team…
Now, nothing is left,
For what is one without the other?

When I finally snap,
Fury spills like boiled blood.
Crimson stains line the cracked glass.
All the sparkling shards,
Like the bits of my heart,
Lay broken, beyond any chance for salvation.

This poem was inspired by a part in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," where Fred Weasley dies, and his twin's reaction is mostly left to the imagination.

Brilliant :) Really nice writing and the fact that it deals with the death of possibly my favourite character in Harry potter makes it all the better and even sadder. I LOVE the last stanza.
