Seasonless Garden
Never planted, yet blooming
Blackberries that didn't dry up in winter, and
Calla lilies that kept their heads above the snow.
Holly and ivy that thrived in July.
A trysting spot for lovers,
Drawn by the smell of roses, even in December.
A black-haired boy and a fair-haired girl,
Spy on each other through wildflowers.
Feeding each other berries,
Until their lips and fingers were stained red as blood.
