I Am

I Am

I am an artistic girl who loves reading.
I wonder if I’ll ever meet Jane Goodall.
I hear myself singing in the silence.
I see a baby animal waiting for its murdered mother to return.
I wish all the poaching in the world will stop.
I am an artistic girl who loves reading.

I pretend I’m a famous wildlife photographer.
I feel my soft, warm bed covers lying on top of me as I gently fall asleep.
I touch the clouds when I bounce on the trampoline in my backyard.
I worry about global warming.
I cry when I think about my Great Uncle Jack.
I am an artistic girl who loves reading.

I understand that if I don’t do something, no one will.
I say “every pet deserves a happy home.”
I dream of roaming with lions across the Savannah.
I try to become a better basketball player.
I hope I can make a difference.
I am an artistic girl who loves reading.
