If I Had Two Words to Speak

Hurry up, move up.

Seize my threadbare clothes
Don’t wait, can’t wait

The anchor of time won’t moor
Slow down, keep down

Don’t run my heart to the floor
Some more, a little more

The reasons escape, there’s only lure
Nothing left, left bare

Breached no way to deter
I’m done, all done

Regret; an image I conjure
Hope lost, never lost

I’ve found the only cure
What now, fresh now

Change, fear, a clear stain
Love gone, gone sour

I know now it was only rain.

This unruly poem describes a relationhship i went through which had serious ramications in my life. It controlled how i felt and everyday was a new high or low. I was left feeling empty and wishing i had done better.
