Today i walked
to the place
that we went
on our first date
i was so nervous
and thought that you didn’t what to go
because you were late
i thought you wouldn’t show
but you did
was younger then you, just a kid
but you were a gentleman to me
i was so blind that i couldn’t see
that the love we had couldn’t last
because the girl came back
from your past
might as well
say bye now
never had a chance
one last bow
one more dance
before i go
into the night
it will take all my might
to leave you here
and go on tonight
im letting go of fear
