My Northern Star

Gazing at the stars one night
wondering where you are
Almost gave up finding you
my precious Northern Star
Other nights I've looked for you
a distance great and far
Yet not one sight of beauty
from my missing Northern Star
And then the skies grew cloudy
and the other stars grew dark
Then your beauty did stand out
my outstanding Northern Star
And since that time you've guided me
and though your very far
Your always here within my heart
I love you my Northern Star
