Hiding

August 21, 2008
By Nicole Johnson, Hazleton, IA

I hide from you all.
My true self, I cannot recall.
You see what you want to see.
I display a fake identity.
I wish that I could be true.
But society will never see through.
You only look at the surface.
Being myself has no purpose.
I can never be who I am.
I will never pass your final exam.
You will never see the real me,
until I am finally free.
