I stand in the light
To hide from the dark
I can see the demons
They prowl and growl in the shadows
But they dare not step in the light
For it is the light of God that I stand in
I know I am protected
For when I stay in the light of God
He will keep me safe from demons
And light my pathway
As I walk further down the path I head
The more demons try to attack
But I call on God
Then His light grows brighter
Along the way I stop
For I find a fallen follower
So I help him up
And we continue down the path together
Throughout our journey we find more fallen followers
So we help all of them as we go along
And we keep going
Until we meet our journey’s end at Heaven’s gate
As the gate opens
The sun shines bright
And in the very middle
We see a tall silhouette
It heads over to me
As it gets closer I can see the face more clearly
It is Jesus
He hugs me tight
And whispers in my ear
In a deep, but gentle voice He says
“Well done, my good and faithful servant”
