Sky Tears

She lies on the bed.
eyes wide awake..
Flashes of the day repeat themeselves in her mind,
why did everything go wrong again?
Checks the clock again,
only two minutes have passed.
It's just seconds after midnight
A brand new day for her to mess up.
She stands up,
opens the cold glass window,
feels the wind on her sore eyes,
stretches her arms wide.
If only they were wings,
if only she could fly away..
If only she could jump,
fall forever,
never hit reality again.
A drop of water hits her finger,
Wakes her up from her dream.
Shivering she closes her window,
closes the life that doesn't excist.
She stands back and admires the rain.
How free, each tear escaping its cloud
As she slips back into her light sheets,
they remind her of how trapped she is.
wondering how she got there,
she lies on her bed,
eyes wide awake,
staring at the sky cry for her.

i think it's pointless to quote back lines from poetry you wrote. but some combinations of words really struck true to me. keep it up.
