Tea Party
Peppermint lingered across my nose,
Trying to see on my tippy-toes.
The tea pot sat on the stove an steamed,
and i waited and waited to hear it scream.
Grandma would say with a sweet loving sound,
"Careful don't touch!" and I'd twirl around.
The teacups and saucers painted to perfection,
Sat on the table in every direction.
With a skip and a twist and was at my seat,
Waiting for Grandma to poor me some tea.
