Sitting on the Moonlit Beach

September 27, 2007

Sitting on the moonlit beach
swinging through the air.
Higher and higher we reach.
Listening to the ocean's roar.
If only you could hear my heart,
you would hear it beat more and more.
On this warm, starlit night,
I see how much you mean to me.
I know that I don't want to start a fight.
The way the wind tousles your hair,
it waves and whipps and looks beautiful
and I can't help but to stare.
Seeing the set of prints upon the sand
I wish I could see them together forever
tracing their tracks over the land.
Sitting on the moonlit beach, the beams are like falling lace.

You say the words I never thought you would.
There are tears streaming their way down my face.
And I say those three words that I never thought I could.
