cherished tendencies

iridescent crimson moulds
like smoke in my lungs
knowing now, learning then
yearning to become
fragile, fragile
light and soil
like holy water drips
caramelized grassy dew
the organs on my lips
smog and fog and breezes part
a ship with its broken mast
piano keys trembling of
a lilac summer
quivering to sustain such
a lilac summer
as a bowl full of strawberries
strives to compare to the fields
