Rainbows and People
Rainbows are like people
They have many different colors and so do we
Red is love
Blue is sorrow
Green is tranquility
Violet is anger
Orane is excitement
and Yellow is happiness.
If rainbows and people are so much alike, why do rainbows stay the same and people change?
People are picky, going through the spectrum indecisively
One day, we're Red
The next, we're Blue
Never making up our minds
Choosing our colors like we choose our clothes
Covering ourselves and hiding who we are
Why can't we just shed our colors and let our pigment of truth shine through?
The world would be simpler that way
In fact, it'd be as simple as a rainbow
Because rainbows are like people
They have many different colors and, sadly, so do we.
