Surrounded by emptiness,
sitting in the darkness.
Looking at the blank walls in silence
with mixed emotions that are out of reach.
calling for help
talking to myself
wishing upon a star
breathing slowly
i look toward the sky
i see the moon showing off its light.
It stands out amongst the darkness
I look at myself in the mirror
inspite of what i see
I realise no one can ever be like me
as the sun slowly starts to rise
the rays of light shine on the calm waters
and as everyone starts to awake from their sleep
the moons light is now hidden so no one can see
I am like the moon sitting on its own
shining until someone else comes to outshine me
I have shone but no one ever sees
Now i am gone
But still i am never free
