Hope pokes me on the nose and says,
too late for you, I'm gone.
She sparkles as she flies away,
my heart sets like the sun.

I have no other place to go,
I'm stuck in gloomy trails.
Oh, how I wish to have Hope back,
my heart cannot prevail.

The author's comments:
This poem gives an insight on hope. It shows how hope is the thing you need to keep advancing in life. In addition, instead of a concept, I used hope as a person. My personification shows how when you take hope for granted, one day it's gone. This poem is rhyming, and is in two quatrain stanzas.
