I saw you last night in my dreams
I couldn't believe you were really there
Like when something isn't what it seems
But, looking at you, I didn't care
Something about you looked so peaceful
Yet, somehow, you looked so sad
Your eyes looked almost fearful
Like you thought I was someone bad
I saw the sorrow reflect in your eyes
I wanted to help you and comfort you
But, somehow you managed not to cry
There was nothing that I could do
And then you whispered "Goodbye."
And I forgot about you...
