My Life and Heart

I held on to you and went though loads of pain
But I've realized that the fight was in vain
I tried to keep you by my side but today
I state that my heart died since yesterday
I sat in a corner and cried all these tears
I thought of the times I didn't have you near
I ran far away so that you wouldn't see
The sadness and grief that you were giving me
I hid from the world because of my fear
That one day I wouldn't see you appear
My mind tells me stop but my heart says there's hope
That one day you'll like me and my poetic note
