I feel nothing when she
Kisses or holds me
Close
I often wonder why I am so
Numb and cold
Like I don't care very much
At all
Outside it is nasty, gray, & lonely
And inside it feels
The exact same
And even these painted walls look
Odd
When paired with the
Pictures I have
Of flowers

The author's comments:
I thought of this piece in a dream I had one night. I was dreaming of a beautiful, massive house that was filled with all sorts of crazy pictures of flowers. I remember thinking about how strange it all felt and looked. So when I woke up I grabbed an old napkin and wrote this down.
